A Recent Review of MyFarrah.com

10/25/2011

"As a fan or Fawcett's I have combed the internet for web sites, photos, and miscellaneous items for sale and collection but when I came across myfarrah.com I was completely blown away. It’s artistic, it’s thorough, it has everything from clips from her films and television work, to great links to very well thought out commentary including a blog that showcases positive things about Fawcett and what is still newsworthy long after her death. This site is by far and above one of the best celebrity based sites I have seen. There are no ads or ridiculous previews to sit through. It’s just an amazingly artistic nod to a talented actress."

Dmarkis's review

01/15/2011

"I've have worked with Steve Mckinnis for five years and have yet to be disappointed. He is a great photographer and really takes his time to find out what you want. I appreciate his way of thinking out of the box and attention to detail. I have been thru two modifications and every time my website is much better and has more searchability. My first year of business was up 45% and by the second year 60%. I really was surprised at how many people contacted me thru the website. Six years later and still clients compliment me on the look of the website!! So thanks Steve... Creative, professional, and fast....what more could you want!"

Got Me Massage

Tim's review

10/17/2009

"5 years ago I started working with Steve Mckinnis for my web and graphic services. At that time I had an aol page and a business card that was pretty basic. I knew if my business was going to grow, I needed a new and professional look. Not being an artist I didn't quite know how I was going to convey that vision."

Tim Marzullo had a single page on AOL.com that didn’t really reflect all the services he provides as a massage therapist. His positive energy and theology made this site a real job to work on. Not only is he a well grounded person with a great attitude he knows his field of work inside and out.

SoulSync

This is a site I re-did for Connie Stewart. The old site didn't reflect her passion. She is a very vibrant and exciting person and her site should reflect that.

Connie's review

11/14/2009

"I went to Steve for help with recreating an old website. Within minutes, I felt he understood what I wanted and needed - even before I could articulate it. I frequently get compliments about my website, but not just run of the mill comments. Such statements as, "I got goosebumps; your site is stunning, WHO did your site?" all make me proud and thrilled to know Steve and to be a benefactor of his beautiful and creative genius. Check out my site to see his fabulous work."

Vignettes Antiques

Lori's review

11/19/2009

"Steve was highly recommended to me by my friend Jane at 'Art Takes A Village' who was thrilled with the site he had created for her. Since I wanted a very layered, highly stylized, French look & feel for my vintage home decor shop, I needed someone who could "get it" & create it from the boxes & files of ideas I had collected over a year's time. Steve never flinched; he went thru everything I had gathered & then proceeded to miraculously create exactly what I had envisioned. This deserves such high praise as his ability to really listen, understand & then produce with his uber artistic talent, the spot-on vision that the client has, is what sets him apart. The day my site went up, it started receiving rave reviews for its' 'Wow' factor & it perfectly represents my shop: http://www.vignettesan... I then recommended him to the Ocean Beach Antique District for our group's website that needed a total re-do & he created one with major impact that has put our district on the map: http://www.antiquesins... His photography, design work, creative input & ultimately the ability to pull it all together so brilliantly, is why Steve sets the gold standard for websites. My highest praise to a phenomenal talent!"

This is the site for the Antique District located in Ocean Beach. Four antique shop owners in Ocean Beach wanted their organizations web site to be re-done to reflect the Ocean Beach of today. The Antique District of Ocean Beach is quite impressive and has grown to out shine the only area in San Diego I thought housed antique's, "Antique Row," in Normal Heights.

George's review

11/16/2009

"We first contacted Steve McKinnis about a year and a half ago to help us in developing a new web site for the Ocean Beach Antique District. Steve was exactly what we needed. He came to the group and made an impressive presentation; he listened to and met individually with each of four store owners. He developed an incredible site for us, did all the photography and design which resulted in this wonderful visually stunning web site. Through the entire experience Steve was so very accommodating, professional and available. The end result was a web site which successfully represents our entire district as well as meets the needs of the individual stores. Steve has continued to be extremely helpful and always available when we had questions or were looking for modifications. If you're looking for someone with technical skill and confidence, as well as creativity and artistic talent, then Steve McKinnis is the guy to call. This new web site has been such an incredible boost to our business district and has become a great tool for us to reach out to our customers, don't know why we hadn't done it sooner!”

Dr. Milberg

Dr. Milberg's review

11/15/2009

"Steve McKinnis is a fabulous and creative person. He has great web designing skills as well as good people skills. Many of my patients have complimented my website because they said that it accurately portrays our caring office atmosphere. Steve has gone out his way to help me with PowerPoint presentations as well. He is available for last minute help and is more than willing to rearrange his schedule to offer assistance. I have referred several other professionals to Steve for graphic arts and web design. Their positive experiences have paralleled mine. My website is always in the process of being updated.”

I can not write enough about Dr. Diane Milberg. She is an awesome dentist and the nicest most energetic lady I have had the pleasure to work with in years! I have horrible memories of my Orthodontist as I was growing up and going through retainers and cleanings and well, Dr. Milberg is excellent with patients, parents and adults. She knows how to put you at ease. This site was a total pleasure to work on. Although it is very professional in nature it does reflect her sense of fun and love of children. If you are contemplating a dentist for yourself or your children I can not recommend her highly enough.

Chris Tina's review

01/11/2012

"Steve restored my confidence in hiring a outside sources to build and manage all my website. After nightmare encounters with two different web designers in the past I chose to try and manage my websites myself with limited success. My time is much better sent building my business and not trying to understand how to develop, design and implement a web site. Not to mention I could not come close to the creative designs Steve has developed for me. I highly recommend Steve McKinnis as a trustworthy person and amazing web designer."

"Steve does AMAZING work !! I had a great business, but my website did not fit with the excitement and unique style of my store, so Steve went to work and i could not be happier !! He brought me into the current era and added all the social media links and clips, blogs to get us attention and drive new interest to my site. He has an amazing eye for design and is a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend him enough !!"

Following the site samples(above this text) is a section on Web Site Creation: What you should know. It’s very informative and will fill you in on things like, domain names, hosting, and things to think about before commissioning a web designer. Look for the CPV Icon on sites for Cross Platform Verification. That means these sites work and operate the same on all operating systems such as MAC/PC/IPhone/IPad and Blackberry's. Web sites created before 2010 with flash elements or sites created after 2010 with flash elements will not. They will appear and function normally on any PC or Mac platform but flash elements will not be visible on a PDA/BlackBerry/IPad or Iphone. Also there is a section with print related work. Sample advertisements and photography are also listed. Below are some of the custom sites that I have created. I have not listed sites that were previously built, a template or already existing that I have updated, repaired or re-vamped. Sites with exceptions, be it photos by someone else are notated under the NOTE section.
