Robek Chiropractic

This was a re-work of an existing site for Dr. Shawn Robek (He has since changed the practice name and merged with another). I have known Shawn for a number of years and he helped me with a work related injury over the course of a year. His new site is personal and emphasizes his quest to not only help his patients but empower them with the tools and information they need to sustain and surpass any goal they may have in regards to their health.

His site is also a great example of branding which extends to his blog, tweet, myspace and other accounts directly related to Action Fitness Sd.

There are two sites (one above/and one below) I created for Kylo Anderson a Yoga Instructor in San Diego, CA. Kylo exudes a confidence and skill level that is enticing and infectious.

Kylo's review

10/16/2009

"What can I say about Steve McKinnis? He does it all: photographer, web designer and graphic artist. Steve worked with me on my website. He only asked me for an outline. I gave him key points and he took it from there. From the first website draft, he blew me away. He was constantly in contact with me regarding changes or photographs. He raises the bar with his professionalism and attention to detail. To say I'm very happy with his services is an understatement. I'd definitely recommend him as well."

Kylo's second review

01/14/2011

Steve's professionalism & creativity shines through his websites, blogs & photography. He recently updated my yoga website and the outcome was amazing. He knew the perfect place for a photo shoot, colors & fonts. In a couple of days, the website was complete. Many of my friends complimented his work and asked if he'd be interested in working w/ them! He's readily available for any updates I have w/ the site. As a photographer, his work was featured for the month of September in Yoga Journal's 35th Anniversary Special Edition. As a web designer, he takes pride in his work and it shows; see for yourself at www.KyloYoga.com. Look no further, Steve McKinnis is the one you'll want working on your website!

Integrité Salons.com

This was a site created after an initial, not so great site, was built. The salon has since moved locations and changed direction.

Daniel's review

03/31/2010

"I was lucky enough to come across Steve McKinnis and his amazing abilities with not only web design, but his photography, understanding my biz and what style it is, without me giving every detail to him. After we came to an understanding of what I wanted and what it would take a contract was sent and things moved forward fast and my site was done and launched before I knew it. My site now is not only a site that represents me and my biz, but is a site I enjoy and show everyone I can. All I can say is if you not only need but want a site.. He's your man and easy to work with. Thank you."

Esties' International

This site is a dual site with a full functional shopping cart via GoDaddy.com. It's also completely customized. The cart and site refelct and blend with each other.

The first site Estie had built (lower link) is a great example of buyer beware. Estie trusted a company that seemed to be a leader in the web industry. He was told his site was custom coded. Upon review of the files it looks as though it was a template. Over the course of five years Estie finally chose to move on. Please take a moment to read my section on Web Info. Don't buy into a corporation just because they are housed in a tall building with validated parking. It doesn't mean they are credible or even capable at what they profess to do.

Estie's review

10/29/2009

"Yes I was lost & so frustrated with a web company I had been working with for YEARS trying to get my website up & running. They just did not get it. Then I was referred to Steve. I just chatted with him for about 1 hour and gave him my ideas and concepts and within weeks he was able to produce a fabulous web site for me. I was very impressed with his creativity and his understanding of what I wanted. I am very happy with what he has done for me & continue working with him to complete my site and I would refer Steve McKinnis to anyone without any reservation.?

Estie's second review

6/11/2010

"What can I say? This man is a gem in a mountain of morons! I spent a great deal of money on a business website that ended up being a complete waste of time. When I met with Steve, he addressed all my fears from this horrendous experience and was upfront from Day 1 about the budget and expectations. There were no hidden costs, no bull%&*#, and even when I was at my most demanding - he was professional and accommodated my requests. I love my website now and it has been getting good reviews from my clients about how easy it is to navigate. I can only say good things about Mr. McKinnis - and if you know me, you know that is a rare thing for me to say!"

Brett's review

01/19/2011

"Great Job! I love working with someone I can trust. Steve works quickly, and he's a bit of a perfectionist. He's done a variety of projects for my business, notably the website ObeliskShoppe.com, as well as most of my print advertising. He's very attentive to my needs, and he's fun to work with. Looking forward to working with Steve to build our webstore."

This is a new site for Obelisk Shoppe in Hillcrest. It will eventually be a store driven site but will have elements of a regular web site incorporated into a store front that will be functional and also interactive.

Ari's review

06/12/2010

"Steve does AMAZING work !! I had a great business, but my website did not fit with the excitement and unique style of my store, so Steve went to work and i could not be happier !! He brought me into the current era and added all the social media links and clips, blogs to get us attention and drive new interest to my site. He has an amazing eye for design and is a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend him enough !!"

This is a new web site for Ari, owner of House*Boi in San Diego, CA. The old site, the navigation and layout debuted in 2007 and it was time for an upgrade. The site is currently being re-vamped and built but it will house behind the scenes videos, clips from shoots, ad campaigns as well as all the products they care. The on-line store is also being re-worked to reflect the new site as are all the components and other sites reflective of the store.

LEAD San Diego

This site was a re-work that incorporated all the old pages and the goal was to blend this old site into a more updated web site. That goal was achieved and they continued on with their site after I was finished. The site still maintains the same look and navigation system I built for it.
